Wrexham AFC has announced two key changes to its board of directors. Shaun Harvey has been appointed as a non-executive director for an initial term of three years, while Elis Wyn Jones is slated to join the board pending Independent Football Regulator (IFR) and Football League (EFL) approvals.

New Non-Executive Director

Shaun Harvey’s appointment was confirmed on 6 July 2026. The club’s statement noted that Harvey’s transition to the role was completed on that date, allowing him to focus exclusively on board matters. Harvey will serve a three-year term, bringing his experience from the sports and finance sectors to Wrexham’s governance.

Upcoming Appointment of Elis Wyn Jones

Elis Wyn Jones is set to be added to the board of directors, subject to IFR and EFL approvals. The club highlighted Jones’s background, noting that he was the former head of global sports advisory and European gaming sector coverage at Goldman Sachs in London. Jones’s appointment follows Lee Solomon’s addition to the board in December 2025, marking the first board changes since then.

The club’s website stated that Jones’s appointment will be finalised once regulatory approvals are secured. The board will meet next month to confirm the appointment and discuss strategic priorities for the club’s future.
