A local man has been charged with burglary after stealing Wrexham A.F.C. shirts from the club's retail trailer. Police confirmed the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, 28 October, at the trailer on Regent Street.

Stephen Roberts, 42, of Grosvenor Road, was arrested nearby after officers found the stolen items on Mold Road. CCTV enquiries led to him being charged and remanded into custody. He appeared before Mold Magistrates Court the following day, Thursday, 29 October.

Further charges and court appearance

Roberts faces additional charges of theft from a shop and breaking a bail condition. The shoplifting offence relates to a report from Bargain Buys on Regent Street on 10 October. He was bailed with conditions and is scheduled to appear again before Mold Magistrates on 30 March 2027.

The incident comes at a time when the focus at the Racecourse Ground is firmly on improving results. Wrexham A.F.C. currently sit 18th in the Championship with 14 points from 13 games, having lost their last two matches. Their goal difference stands at minus four after scoring 15 and conceding 19 this season.

Phil Parkinson's side now faces a significant challenge this weekend. They host league leaders Middlesbrough on Wednesday, 4 November, a fixture that will test their resolve as they look to climb away from the lower reaches of the standings. The team's recent form reads one win, one draw and three defeats from their last five outings.

Top scorer Kieffer Moore, with five goals this campaign, will be a key figure as Wrexham seek to end their losing streak. The club's next fixture is a home match against Middlesbrough on 4 November.
