Wrexham A.F.C. is proud to announce the launch of a new scholarship in collaboration with Wrexham University and Kick4Life, marking a significant step in community engagement. This initiative, celebrated on World Football Giving Day, will provide two young individuals from Lesotho the opportunity to study at Wrexham University, with all course fees covered. The scholarship aims to empower these students through education and football, reflecting Wrexham A.F.C.'s commitment to positive global impact. Seabata Tsemane, a 20-year-old participant, is set to begin the FdA Football and Community Development degree, which emphasizes the role of football in fostering community ties. This initiative is part of a broader partnership between Wrexham A.F.C. and Kick4Life FC, which has been nurturing connections between Wales and Lesotho since 1985. Jamie Edwards, Head of Foundation & Community at Wrexham AFC Foundation, expressed excitement about welcoming these students and enhancing local community engagement. The scholarship not only supports individual growth but also strengthens the ties between the clubs, showcasing the transformative power of football. Seabata shared his aspirations to use this opportunity to promote social justice and community cohesion through football, highlighting the scholarship's life-changing potential. Steve Fleming MBE, Co-founder of Kick4Life, emphasized the importance of this collaboration in providing essential skills and knowledge to young people, enabling them to contribute positively to their communities.
