Who is Anthony Patterson?
Patterson established himself as Sunderland’s first-choice goalkeeper during the 2021/22 season, helping the Black Cats secure promotion to the Championship under Alex Neil. Over three consecutive seasons, he made over 45 appearances in the Championship before losing his starting role following Sunderland’s return to the Premier League. After a loan spell at Millwall, where he kept seven clean sheets in 16 matches, Patterson is now set to join Wrexham as their new No.1.
